Slow News Day

"Apparently the day after the VGAs is bad for video game news! Lol!" -Spartan186 H

Like the quote above states, today is seemingly a slow news day over at GameInformer.com. Last night was some important VGA thing, and I'm guess that stands for the Video Game Awards. Anyways, GameInformer journalist Jeff Cork decided to write us a great breaking news story...

Breaking: Miyamoto Sat On Life-Sized Mario Kart Kart

I'm not quite sure whether to believe this or not, but either way, it made me laugh. Enjoy it :)

Friday, December 02, 2011

Well, in checking my daily news feeds on Yahoo!, I found this rather interesting (and funny) blog arcticle on GameInformer.com

Five Questions a Non-Gamer Should Never Ask a Gamer

The blogger, Jack, The Quixotic Gamer, lists five FAQ's that non-gamers (people who don't play video games, if you were confused) should NEVER, EVER, EVER, ask gamers (people who DO play video games)

My personal favorite: "Are you shooting those people?"
Part of the answer: "In fact, I am not shooting anything. I am pressing a button, on a plastic controller, that causes a virtual avatar to pull a non-existent trigger, firing a fictional bullet which then hits an illusion in the form of a human being."

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Okay, well if you've been paying attention to anything I've said for the past 6 months, you know that The Legend of Zelda (LoZ): Skyward Sword was released yesterday. I got it. I got a CD. I got a gold colored Wii Remote. It's shiny. And sparkly. And all Zelda-y. I love it. All of it.

Well, currently I'm at the first boss of the game. Skyward Sword isn't exceptionally hard, but the controls take some getting used to. Once you get into it though, you'll be pressing buttons and swinging your sword like you've been doing it all your life.

Anyways, I'm planning on writing a tiny little pointless reveiw after I get deeper into the game. So far though, so good. Seriously. I find almost no flaws. Except for when I can't do a forward stab or a skyward strike. Other than that, everything is working fine. Even Fi (your sword's spirit-ish) isn't as annoying, and her tips are actually helpful.

Also, I mentioned that all copies of Skyward Sword come with a LoZ: 25th anniversary music CD. It's awesome. Although I'm not exactly a fan of that kind of music, if it's related to Zelda, and it's free, it's gonna be awesome.
Ballad of the Goddess (Skyward Sword)
Wind Waker Symphonic Movement (Wind Waker)

And if it means anything to anyone, I swear Fi is Zelda's version of GLaDOS. Without all of the sarcasm and murder, of course. But the way they talk is so alike. I'm not joking.
And Zelda herself reminds me of someone...

Happy Birthday GameCube!

Well, if the title wasn't a dead giveaway, today is the Nintendo GameCube's 10th birthday in America! YAY!!! Hm, well if you don't know what a GameCube is you're a) too young b) not caring c) too stupid to recognize it as the best home console in the world. Okay, that's a bit of a stretch, but still, I love my GameCube (herinafter GC) more than any other home console I've ever played, including the PS3. I suppose it means something when I say it was my first "real" home console (that old PSone doesn't count). I bought mine for $20 from a good friend. It came with one controller, a GameBoy Player, and a GameBoy Player disc. I was sold. Later that night my bro bought Pac-Man World 3 for it, and we thought that game was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Boy, were we wrong.

Another really good friend of mine lent us Super Smash Bros. Melee, which I still consider to be better thatn SSB Brawl. We borrowed Super Mario Sunshine and MarioKart: Double Dash!! (and eventually bought both games). And later, maybe just a year or two ago, I spent a whole day in the hot sun managing a yard sale. That afternoon, my dad took me to GameStop and I bought what would be my favorite game in the whole wide world: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Later I got Metroid Prime, Animal Crossing, LoZ: Collector's Edition, and many other games. If you're ever looking for some good Nintendo games, without wanting to pay the $200+ for a Wii, trust me, the GC will not let you down.

Happy Birthday GameCube!! <3

Random Pokemon Picture (and Zelda nonsense)

I found this while I was looking at random pictures on the internet in an attemt to find some new wallpaper. I love this pic, and I crack up every time I look at it.

PS. Just for clarification, the girl on the right is Green and the boy (yes he's a guy) on the left is Silver.

Also, you can expect me to be posting again later today because I'M PICKING UP SKYWARD SWORD TODAY!!!! (I think)

EDIT: I just called GameStop, and even though they told me when I pre-ordered the game that I could pick it up today, it would not be released until Sunday. Idiots.

Well, until then, I'll have to hold myself over with video clips and spoiler-free trailers. Speaking of, I just watched this video on Zelda Universe, and I thought it was pretty funny.
Zelda Williams- Worst pick-up lines (ZU)

Other than all of this, I'll try to keep you posted... if I don't die of suspense before next Sunday...

Saturday Morning Thoughts

Well hello there. Today is Saturday, and I'm with my Dad at his office. I'm kinda bored, and I have absoluelty no one to talk to because all of the computers here block instant messaging. Or texting. So right now, I'm blogging, and maybe afterwards, I'll write or draw. Who knows? I am kind of tired, but that's okay, I might rest later anyway. I just wish the internet here was wireless, but that's not my problem to deal with. I'll live (I think).

Updates

Well, sorry I haven't blogged in a few days. I was going to on the 28th, but our power was out because of the random snowstorm we had. So anyway, I have some updates on what's been going on below.

- My World's 6th birthday was on October 28th! Yay!
- There was an all-nighter at my church last night! It was sooo much fun! Okay, a little crazy, but fun!
- I color-ified another Pokemon Adventures pic. I love it!

Yeah, so that's about all that's been going on here. Maybe I'll blog again soon...

Pokemon Adventures Image

Hm, well it's a little project I've been working on, just because I wanted to. If you've read Pokemon Adventures (I bet you haven't) and you read chapter 180, you probably saw this very nice picture at the end of the chapter. I found a very nice scan of it and decided to put it in color. So here's what came out of it. Basically, I put the original image into GIMP and retraced all of the outlines. Then, I just used the paint bucket tool (my favorite) and filled it in. So enjoy.

NOTE: I did not draw the original image. The original image was drawn by Satoshi Yamamoto, the illustrator for the Pokemon Adventures manga.

National Writing Day

Hey, guess what today (October 20th) is? National Writing Day! Well, it's got some other fancy name, but basically, that's what it is. Don't even get me started on how I know.

Haha, well, since it is National Writing Day, you should be writing! Just because you can! Seriously, it's a lot of fun to do. Oh, if you need something to get you started, use this as your first sentence.

As the credits rolled in the nearly empty movie theatre, two teens watched with satisfaction. But little did they know that the story was just beginning.
So have fun! If you do end up writing anything, send me it in an e-mail if you want. (thechumbles@gmail.com)

Drawings Glog

Well, I was meaning to get to this at some point. This afternoon, I made a glog with my drawings and other "artwork" on it. You can click the link below if you want to see it.

Soda tabs and things like that

I don't know if I've said anything about this, but I've been collecting soda tabs. They're those little thingys you use to use to open the soda cans. Anyway, I've been collecting them and I put them all on this chain thing and wear them as a bracelet. The other day I filled up one chain to the point where it's a pain to get on and off, so I had to start a new one. I currently have a total of 116 soda tabs. I have 100 on my full bracelet (pics after the break) and 16 on my new one.

Well, other than this nonsense, youth group last night was AWESOME!! Too bad it rained though, because I was dying to play man hunt outside. Oh well, maybe next week. The games we played inside were fun, we played Zonk and Charades. Yeah, my friend Tyler came along too, and I'm really glad he did, cuz apparently, he's going to be going to a different church soon and we'll all miss him. Speaking of missing people, my BFF Libby came back last night (Yay!!) after being absent for two weeks (AH!) due to sickness. We all missed her sooo much!

Um, let's see, is there anything else I can blog about? I've been trying to write, but I'm still having a block. Take my word for it, it's NO fun. I ran around in the rain last night like a moron (because I am). Uh... and I drew some more Pokemon Adventures stuff (Gold & Silver) and one of them actually turned out rather decent.

So that's pretty much it, click the break to see a pic of my bracelet.

I'm Still Alive

No, I didn't die, I just haven't had anything to really post about. So since I am kinda bored (and you must be VERY bored if you're reading my blog) I'm just gonna write at random, post a few pics, etc. Enjoy yourself.

In English class, we had to do an assignment that involved designing something. Fun. So one kid asked, "Can we use GIMP?" And of course I was thinking, "What's GIMP?" So eventually, I figured out that its a "image manipulator" and I've been using it to make some of my drawings look a little more presentable. Like this: Crummy Drawing + GIMP = Somewhat Better Drawing.
Yeah, so you can enjoy those after the break.

You want more? Well, okay then. I've also been writing a little bit lately. Random fictional stuff, y'know? Cuz I don't have much else to do, except for living a second life in Wind Waker. But oh well, it is turning out pretty well, If I do say so myself. If you want, you can read some in this google doc I just made up.
Click here for some random writing

Well, there isn't much else to write about, except that last weekend was AWESOME! I had a sleepover with my BFF at her house, and we stayed up until... uh... maybe it was 2am? I dunno. But I had a blast with her! Thanks Libby!

So that's all now, I hope you enjoyed this random stuff.

Skyward Sword Trailers

With less than two months to go before Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is realeased, news has not stopped coming. Yesterday, I saw some new trailers... click the links (no pun intended) to see them.

Romance Trailer
Opening Trailer
Swordplay Trailer

Haha, the romance trailer was cute. In an article on Zelda Universe, it said, "But, just when thing’s start getting romantic, she get’s swallowed by  a whale. Too bad."

Stupid whale. You are SO going to die.

Level up without doing a thing

If you play Call of Duty, you must like Mountain Dew, right? And you've been drinking can after can of the stupid stuff, trying to stay awake at 3am playing Black Ops, right? Well, with Modern Warfare 3, MD will be worth something a little more than that. If you buy a specially marked bottle of Mountain Dew, you'll get a code thingy that will unlock some extra XP, which I assume is used to level up. Whatever it is, drinking all of that MD is finally gonna be worth it. Maybe.

A Flood of Skyward Sword News

Well, it's a flood because ZeldaUniverse had a server outage over the past few days, and now that it's fixed, they've posted AT LEAST 8 videos and a ton of other stuff that I've reposted below.

- Japanese box art
- Second quest
- Weapon upgrade system
- GameInformer Scans (I'm not looking!)
- 100 minutes of cutscenes
- Boss challenge mode
- GoNintendo news [SPOILERS]
- Nintendo Everything [SPOILERS]

I am NOT going to read the spoilers. Skyward Sword might be the first Zelda game I'll play without someon *cough* Xeon *cough* spoiling the best parts. Well, I hope you enjoy all of this!

Treasure Hunting!!

No, I do not go treasure hunting. Unless you count digging a hole in your backyard and finding a dime.

Actually, in Skyward Sword, you will be able to go "treasure hunting" kind of like in Wind Waker when you're trying to find all of those stupid triforce shards. But totally more worth it.

You can see a quick video of it here: Exclusive Video: Treasure Hunting in Skyward Sword

Two Dollars

What can you buy for $2? Maybe a mountain dew. Or a candy bar. Or... something that I bought at a yard sale today... you'll never guess in a million years... start guessing, people.
Guitar Praise? That'd be sweet, but no.
A Ps3? Hahaha, yeah. Right. Nope.
Out of ideas? Okay, I bought a.... Nintendo Entertainment System, a.k.a. a NES!!! For $2!!! And it works!!!
What?! You don't beleive me?! I'll prove it!! Click "More Nonsense" to see pics of it.

In other news, I made orange cupcakes today. Click the "More Nonsense" button to see them, too.

Skyward Sword Playing Time

At a recent press conference, Nintendo announced the time it would take for the average gamer to complete their newest Zelda game, Skyward Sword. Any guesses?

Shigeru Miyamoto announced that the game would take about 50-100 hours to complete. Sound's about right to me, but taking into consideration that I'm terrible at video games, It could take me a year or two to complete. Nah, probably a few months at the most.

Also, during the conference, Nintendo showed a little show of different gameplay clips, including some epic boss battles. Nintendo said that once you've completed the game, you'll be able to replay all of those boss battle in a "boss rush" mode, kinda like in Ocarina of Time (hereinafter OoT) 3D.

There is also a new location revealed, Eldin Volcano, which I swear is Death Mountain from OoT. But really, who knows? You can watch that video here. GameInformer.com also said that they'll be posting the clip show video as soon as they can get it, so I'll keep an eye out.

GI: Share Your Favorite Zelda Memories

Again, something with GameInformer.com and Zelda. Go figure.

Today, however, it's something a little different. The post says, "Reader Disscussion: Share Your Favore Zelda Memories". Since it's Zelda's 25th anniversay (a few months back) the editors of GI have asked that the readers comment and write about their fovorite Zelda memories.

Mine? Oh boy, I have too many to count...
The first Zelda game I ever played was Spirit Tracks (bad place to start), but the first one I really, truly devoted some time to was Wind Waker. Also, it's the only one I've ever completed. My favorite Zelda memories... I can think of three right now.
1) Finally finishing Wind Waker after a year... I love the ending cutscene, fighting Ganon, just everything after you get into Ganon's Tower is epic.
2) Playing the Fire Temple in Ocarina of Time with my friend. Getting the megaton hammer, and getting collateral damage bats was memorable. But the best part about that: When we got to the boss (Volvagia) and he told me, "Ok, now this is just like Whack-a-Mole." I just about lost it there.
3) Again, when my friend was over. He showed me how to launch gossip stones into outer space. I was laughing so hard. You can watch a video about it here. (fast-fowrad to 2:00)

Well, that's all for now.

GI Cover

Okay, I know I just posted like an hour ago, but this is worth getting excited about. To me, at least.

GameInformer revealed their cover for October's issue, and guess what it is? Three tries...

(cue Jeopardy music)

Okay, well, I'm going to tell you anyway! It's The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword!!! Here's a picture if you want to see it too.

Rain, rain, go away...

It has not stopped raining here since Monday. The rain has barely slowed down. Today, the school district where I live closed down (second day of school!) because of supposed flooding.

Other than the horrible rain, I've had part of Flyleaf's Amy Says stuck in my head all week. The part where she sings, "I see you laughing at the rain that hits your face." Go figure.

ALSO I just updated the "Awesome songs" Google Doc. More music, yay!

P.S. I've found the problem with the "Greatest Guitar Battle Ever!" video, I just have to fix it. I hope I can get it done soon...

"Multiple Intelligences"

My English teacher gave our class the assignment to take a quiz on "multiple intelligences". It's really one of those...personality-type quizes, with no right or wrong answers. It supposed to tell you how you learn and stuff like that. Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

You can take the quiz here:

Words With Friends

If you own an iPod Touch, iPhone, or Android you've probably played or at least heard of Words With Friends. If you haven't, it's basically Scrabble with friends. A lot of my friends have it, and we play together a lot. Currently, I have eight games going on. Anyway, the other day I was playing with my aunt and I scored a 105-point word. I'm not joking. The pic is right there. The Z was on a triple letter tile and the S was on a triple word tile. I'm not making this up. See for yourself.

The End of the World (Maybe)

I'm sure many of you have heard about the very devastating 5.8 magnitude earthquake that hit the East coast on Tuesday. There has been severe damage reported everywhere:
But seriously, I think that everyone is overreacting. Oh, by the way, my family went grocery shopping today. We go to this store called Aldi, maybe you've heard of it. Normally, it isn't very busy, but today wow, was it crazy. I suppose because of hurricane whats-her-name, everyone is afraid that we're all going to blow away. But don't we have better things to worry about, like, I don't know, 2012??

Raising Money for Kids, one Pokeball at a time

The video gaming community Respawn Point started a Pokemon-catching marathon to catch all 649 Pokemon in a week, meanwhile raising $2,333.33 for the charity Childs Play, which gives toys and video games to sick children. Pretty cool, huh?

Epic Video Game music covers!

Reading my Yahoo! news feed and Something caught my eye: "Lake Hylia Cover on Guitar". In case you didn't know, Lake Hylia is a location in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. As it turns out, the game that this specific instance is from is Twilight Princess, so I didn't recognize it. Anyway, the article linked to this guy's (TheDelRe) YouTube channel, which had a lot more covers. Below are links, etc.

CUPCAKES!!!!!

A few weeks ago at this place called Camp LCTI (not telling YOU what it means!) I took a "commercial baking" class, among other things. One day, we decorated cupcakes. They were delicous.

Moving right along, my mom was having some friends over for breakfast today. I asked her if I could make cupcakes for everyone. I did. They were delicous. Anyway, I decorated them with those frosting bag thingys, except we ran out so I had to use ziploc bags. But I used the real tips and everything. Anyway, here are some of the cupcakes I made. Click "More nonsense" to see them.

Also, I had VBS this past week! Woo-hoo!  We played games, did crafts, learned Bible stories, it was fun! Oh yeah, and Pinky the Octopus came. Please dont ask. Look at pics here.

Well, anyway, done blogging. I might not be blogging for a while because my computer is going to blow up any day now. Oh well.

More Videos

My awesome Yahoo! News feed has brought me to yet another....strange video made by people with too much time on their hands. Enjoy.
Link to the Past with a Portal Gun

My personal favorite is the last one. Cucco Revenge Squad FTW!

Fixed links (no pun intended)

If you are trying to view "Patrick Gets Surgery" the link is broken because of a bunch of shenanigans that I don't feel like explaining. In other words, that link no longer works, but the one below will.

Patrick gets Surgery

Also, I've been trying to get my two other...interesting videos on YouTube so that my friend can watch them on his phone. "How to throw a lightsaber" is now viewable if you have an iPhone or android or something like that.

How to throw a Lightsaber

The only video I couldn't upload was "The Greatest Guitar battle ever!" because YouTube (being mean and all that) says I have to get permission to upload that or otherwise ALL of the audio is removed. I hate YouTube. However, you can still view the video on my blog.

More Blogging 'cuz I'm bored!

News & Updates

Watched this the other day and never got to post about it...amazingly funny... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svBbI0TmflM

Went to a yard sale yesterday and got a FREE Sega Genesis game. I could proably sell it for some good money, except it's some silly power rangers game. Seriously, who buys that stuff?

Epic fail!!!! Forgot to post this on July 4th!

Nintendo Power Issue 268

The other day I bought a Nintendo Power magazine from Wal-Mart just because I could. The cover, as you can see, has the "modern" Sonic (the alternative cover has "classic" Sonic on it). On the inside, there's a 11-page feature all about Sonic the Hedgehog, along with a feature about the GameBoy Advance, LoZ: Link's Awakening. Plus, (this is my favorite part) the
4-page review on Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. It was FUN to read. Also, reading the Pulse (e-mails, etc.) section was fun. My favorite letter was:

"I know this is irrelevant because The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker hasn't been mentioned in a while, but I will belatedly defend the game's sailing sections.  I thoroughly enjoyed traveling from island to island by boat.  The experience heightened the sense of exploration, and braving my way through dark thunderstorms was awesome." -Littleredwolf

In my opinion, sailing was fun, for like the first half of the game. Then, right around the part where you get the Master Sword, it became annoying.  Although the Ballad of Gales made it a bit easier, sailing around to find to those stupid Triforce shards was just plain boring.  Maybe that's why I didn't finish the game for like, 2 months...

Hmm..no idea whats up...

Well...It's like 10:00 at night (see timestamp) and I can't sleep. Fail. Anyway, I thought I would blog, cuz I haven't done it in like 7 years. I'm exagerating, silly!!! There's a few things I should mention first:
-Listening to best Skillet album ever (Alien Youth) while blogging. Just a heads-up.
-Went to DP with my buddies Libby and Zach. Stayed in the sun all day. So I'm a bit crazy (loopy?) (still?). Oh well. Good time to blog. I can never sleep anyway.

Moving right along, I had a lot of fun at DP with my friends. We went to the waterpark first, then we went back to our car for lunch. After that we went and rode all the rollercoasters (although I think I might've had the most fun on Hang Time). Had so much fun with you guys! :)

I'm a beep, I'm a vapor; and I'm about to evaporate -Vapor, Skillet

Well, speaking of Skillet, did you know that Ben Kasica left?? Well here's some news for you: he did. Kinda sad, but we'll have to see what the new guitarist sounds like. I forget his name. Oh well. Here's another little fun fact: John Cooper (lead singer) is the only member of the bamd who was there when the band was first formed.

You're the hope of all the Earth; You are my hope, You are my stregnth; You're everything, everything I need. You Are My Hope, Skillet

By that way, while I'm thinking of it, you should listen to that song. It's really nice. Well, I'm getting tiered now, so I'm gonna sleep. Nite.

Grandpa Busters

If you're looking for funny and nonsensical entertainment, look no further! Visit the official Grandpa Busters YouTube channel now!

Okay, this needs a bit of an explanation. So I will give you one. One day, my brother Paul and I were hanging out with our friend Patrick and his sister Ally. Then Patrick had a (slightly insane) idea; lets go down into the basement in the dark. Then, of course, Paul got scared and yelled, "run away grandpa!" (which was his saying at the time). Then the idea of Grandpa Busters was born.

Magic Trick

For my next trick, I will make a scavenger hunt, Pokemon, Legos, Skillet, and Zelda all fit in the same post.

Well, my party was a blast! We had a scavenger hunt, and My team didn't win, but it was fun anyway. Click here to see pics from that. We had to take pics of the team doing certain things, like standing next to a McDonalds Drive-Thru menu. It was an interesting experience, and no one got arrested. So thats good...sorta...

On Bulbapedia, someone (Danielle Detering) made an article about how Pokemon and math go together. Read it here.

I've been drawing with chalk lately, and I drew Link, a Shellder, and a Mareep. You can see them if you click "More Nonsense"

Well, that's about it. Maybe I'll post more tomorrow...maybe...

Party (Finally!)

Hm, well do you remember my birthday? Yeah, that was a long time ago. Or at least it feels like it was. Anywho, I finally get a party! Yay! Tomorrow night, some of my friends (!) are coming over for Pizza, Cake, and a digital scavenger hunt. It's gonna be so much fun!!!! Haha, I'm a little crazy right now, but trust me, I'm getting some Mountain Dew later, and THAT makes me crazy.

Oh my goodness this would be so much fun to do!!! haha it's a video game tournament for pokemon black and white and it's FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! The only problems are a) things get busy here in the summer and b) the closest one to me is in NEW JERSEY!! Meh, oh well. Excuse my randomeness, I'm just really excited and I think this would be a fun thing to do this summer. Oh yeah, here's another problem: my Pokemans stink. Oh well. It could be interesting...

This is Nonsense

Well, we're all moved in. thats good.

It has been a bit busy around here for obvious reasons, so its been a while since I posted.

For no reason whatsoever, I was looking at the trivia section of Bulbapedia's page on the first episode in the Pokemon: Best Wishes TV series. Whoever wrote it brought up a good point: "According to the narration at the beginning of the episode, Ash is still ten years old (despite the fact the anime has been airing for over thirteen years at this point)."
See, I'm not the only idiot out there who thinks about this stuff

Another thing was that Pikachu had "electrical issues" again (last time was when going from Kanto to Hoenn). However, I beleive it's just jet lag. What do you think?

Moving!

Oh yeah, as of today, I am moving in... 9 days! Oh boy!

Our new house
Anywho, I am moving to a bigger house that's about 5-10 minutes away from where I currently live, so it's not like I'm moving to Florida or something like that. Since we have a garage now to put all of our bikes and scooters and whatnot in, my dad said that I could have the shed in the back to turn into a secret fort. Right now, there's just a bunch of boxes in it, so I'll have to clean it out and fix it up during the summer. Here's the list of things that HAVE to get done  in it:
1. Boxes cleared out
2. Door handle replaced (it's all rusty)
3. New paint color (that green is UGLY)
4.Take the shelf out on the inside (and maybe put a smaller one in)
5. Fix some of the outside walls
6. Replace windows
7. Plant Flowers

Well, a note to all of my neighbors: I'll miss you guys. Except for Tyler (the one with the dark hair). He's a noob.
Well BTYL (Blog to ya later) I just made that up right now.

Would someone plase tell me what day it is?

HINT: The answer is April 14th!

General News&Nonsense

Well, first of all the Pokemon Global Link is scheduled to open this Wedensday (a.k.a. April 13).

In other non-Pokemon related news:

Today is my friend Libby's Birthday! Happy Birthday!!!
It's about 80 degrees at my house today, and it is HOT!

Now for the nonsense...
Today, a few of my friends and I were talking about nintendo and the new Zelda game that should be released any minute now. Then, we talked about what would happen if Nintendo went banckrupt or shut down or something like that. It's doubtful in my opinion, but it could happen. Anyway, we were wondering that if it did happen, what would happen to Zelda. Tyler (who deserves to be punched) said that they should sell the series to like Sony or something so that they could make it for Ps3. I immeadiatly said the opposite, and said I would no longer play Zelda if it went on the Ps3. They Tyler and Xeon went into this whole talk about Microsoft would get mario and Sony would get Zelda and Pokemon. Where does that leave me? And by the way, you both deserve to be punched because you made me feel horrible afterward.

P.S. Tyler's a noob.

You're a fake! FAKE!

The easiest way to tell the difference is by looking
at the back. The first thing you may notice is that the
fake card is a signifigantly lighter blue than the read card.
The other not-so-noticeable difference is the lack of
detail on the fake card.

FAKE! ITS FAKE!
So the other day My friend pointed out that one of my Pokemon cards was fake. He was kinda right.

As it turned out, three of my cards were fake (two of my brothers' were). Thanks Ryan.

Anyway, to confirm that they were fake, I looked here:

The Greatest Pokemon Battle Ever!

This is a Pokemon Battle I had with my younger brother yesterday. It is his Level 96 Zangoose against my Level 19 Starly. Guess who wins.

This battle uses the F.E.A.R technique, which can be found here.

Pokemon The Movie 2000: The Power of One

(if you like Pokemon, watch it NOW)

Well, I watched it (really long title, not typing it again)  recently and it was FUNNY. anyway you should watch it because of its funawseomness and listen to the ocarina song.

I also watched Pokemon Heroes: Latios and Latias as well as Pokemon the Movie 3: Spell of the Unknown (yet another long title). It was an all-night Pokeman Movie Marathon! (say that three times fast)

P.S. If Pokemon 2000 isn't funny to you, go see a doctor, IMMEDIATELY

Pokemon TCG Online

Well, the other day The Pokemon Company (TCP)  opened the beta for their online trading card game. It's very fun, just a little laggy. For the beta, you can participate in battles against CPU's, but I beleive in the full game, you can battle another person live. Also, the deck builder isn't open for the beta. Other that that its very interesting.

P.S. If you're going to use a laptop to play, I recommend keeping it plugged in, because my battery drained pretty fast as I was playing.

Good News and Somewhat Bad News

Somewhat Bad news
If you bought Pokemon Black/White and were just as excited as I was for it, you'll know about the Pokemon Global Link and the fact that it was supposed to be opened on March 30th. However, due to the 9.0 earthquake and tsunami in Japan (You did know that Pokemon was based in Japan, right?) the opening of the GL was delayed until who-knows-when.

Good News
Speaking of the earthquake, one GameInformer editor (Meagan Marie) had a red Nintendo DS, which was signed by Shigeru Miyamoto (if you don't know who this is, you don't deserve to play games[no offense]), Koji Kondo (does the musical stuff), Charles Martinet (voice actor for Mario since 1995), Eiji Aonuma (Zelda guy), and Martin Leung (a guy who plays video game music on a piano). Anyway, Meagan sold the DS on eBay for $4,050 and donated all the money to the Red Cross to help in Japan. Seriously, if I had that kind of money, I would've bought it. I mean, hardcore gaming device+signatures from famous people+donation= pure awesomeness!

PopCap (the best PC gaming company EVER) also raised $200,000 for Japan by lowering the prices of all (or most) their iOS and Android games (iOS meaning iPhones, etc) and donating all money to the Red Cross. Way to go PopCap!

So more good news than bad news, which I suppose is also good news.

My thoughts exactly

Pokemon Black & White vs. My Wish List

Basicly, this guy wanted five things from Pokemon Black & White:
1. Different Story
2. "Gang" Battles (i.e. 6-on-6)
3. Evolutions for older Pokemons
4. More GTS stuff
5. Trading between generation IV (Diamond, Pearl, etc.) and V (Black & White)

Well, you got some of it. Black & White have 3-on-3 battles, but somebody wrote in a reveiw (GI, I can't remember who it was though) they aren't a big part of the story. I still haven't had one in the actual game, just rotation battles and a triple battle with my friend. Different story:hmm, well I'm told that there are a few plot twists, but other that that, the story follows the same blueprint that, in TPCi's eyes, never gets old. There are a few slight variations, the evil team is trying to free all pokemon from the "cruel" trainers who "enslave" them, which is entirly ironic and dumb, because if you're trying to free pokemon, why don't you start with your own? Anywho, I have a few ideas because me being weird, still hasn't finished the game (!) AFTER THREE WEEKS (!!). Well, (SPOILER ALERT?) The legend of Unova whatchamacallit is that origionally there was a single Pokeman (name unknown) and two twin brothers who were BFF's. Then one day, the two brothers disagreed on something probably very stupid, as that is what most siblings do, and the pokemon slit into Rishiram and Zekrom, both siding with a different brother. Now back to present day the mysterious N (king of team plasma) has ressurected and successfully captured zekrom and challenges you to ressurect and catch rishiram (other way around in pokemon white) and challenge him.  What I think N is trying to do is have both reishiram and zekrom in the same place at once so they can morph back into that ultimate pokemon. Just my idea though. (spoiler alert? End).

The one single general problem was that the game doesn't have a "come play with me" feel. For example, Pokemon SoulSilver was an okay game but it made me want to play it. Kinda like when you say someone has charisma. Pokemon black had no charisma. Maybe it was just me, but I wanted to play Chibi-Robo more than Pokemon. Its other problem was that it felt...disconnected from the other pokemon games. There are no pokemon from older generations until you finish the game and on top of that, Unova whatchamacallit is described as far away from the four regions of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Also, the routes start over from 1 again. I don't know about you, but it bothers me.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Well, I finally decided to give you readers an idea of my demented mind.
First off, The video is only about three seconds. Why? Because it only had to be three seconds. If the video makes no sense, click here.

Also, because it is St. Patricks Day, I have painted my hair green. Sorta. I was really just looking for an excuse to have green hair.

As you may know.....

There was an earthquake and tsunami in Japan recently. I have just read  that a lot of Japan-based video game companies are doing their part to help. Otherwise, nothing much has been happening. Yep, this is all the news I've got.

Oops

Hello readers! I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately things have been pretty boring/busy on my end, so I'm sorry. Anyway, heres some somewhat exciting newa for you:

Tomorrow Pokemon Black&White come out! I'm sooooo excited! My buddies and I are gonna be playing them ALLLLLLL week (note: Xeon, you had better get the map). I'll write more about that in a few days, if not tomorrow. Oh yes, my neighbor got banned from Call of Duty: Black Ops because he hacked to get something like 15 presteige. Whatever that means. His friend got his whole PS3 acount banned for hacking. He's kind of a jerk anyway, so this gives me somthing I can tease him about (he ALWAYS says "you're jealos of my jailbroken ipod, and its obnoxious).

Well, thats about it. Talk to you peoples soon!

Nerd award

In to comments on an arcticle about the new Pokemon Victini being too strong, heres what someone said.

"You know that they really don't mean unbeatable, right? It just has even stats like Celebi, Mew, Jarachi, and Manaphy, and it is hard to get. Besides that, it really isn't hard to kill, especially considering that being a Psychic/Fire type guarantees five weakness, making it easier to kill. So in a way, it isn't that cheap, as Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus can be considered far more unbeatable." -Robert Rimini

Congrats, you have just earned the "Nerdier about Thechumbles about Pokemon" award.

New Words!

Yesterday in school I had to make a glog of words me and my friends made up. Enjoy!

Boring day...so far

So far, today has been boring. So far. Well, just a thought, because nothing has been happening: alright so my brother has been reading about Shakesphere for history or somthing. I'm reading Romeo and Juliet. so my brother reads that back in Shakespherian times women could not act. So that means...a boy played Juliet?

I find that disturbing in sooooo many different ways...

Happy Birthday, Zelda!

Apparently, 25 years ago today the original Legend of Zelda was released in Japan.

Cake, anyone?
Read some people's memories of Zelda

So anyway, happy birthday to you!

I'm also wondering how many of those cakes were made/eaten today...

Movies

Okay, so this weekend my younger brother has been sick with the flu. I'm not though, don't worry. Anyway, since he can't go outside or do anything, my mom rented The Karate Kid from RedBox. So, kinda like I did with Tron: Legacy, I'm gonna rate it. Just because nothing else exciting has happened recently. Oh, it has been very windy out here recently, and my friend lost power for a few hours.

So now for the reveiw. Basicly, this boy named Dre (weird name) has lived in Detroit with his Mom all his life (his dad died). At the beginning of the movie, he is moving to China because his mom got transfered. At the school he goes to in China, he gets in a fight with with this kid whos like a freerunner/ninja and gets owned. So then this guy whos the maintence dude (Mr. Han, I think) teaches Dre kung-fu (for some reason this movie is called KARATE Kid, but it has to do with kung-fu). I can't tell you anymore, or I'll spoil it. So anyway, good movie. A few swear words, but nothing too serious. Also, VERY violent. No blood, but a lot of punching and kicking and a of that lovely stuff. So, now for the moment of truth...
4.5/5 stars

Plants vs. Pokemon

Okay, well I finally finished Plants vs. Zombies the other day. Here is the song that is played during the credits.

Oh yes, and in other Pokemon-related news, someone got the idea that they should make an online trading card game. Yep, it's a pretty origional idea thet nobody had before, especially the person who made the gameboy color game for it. Oh yes, and GI rated Pokemon Black & White a 8.75.

I'm Back!

Hi everyone! I'm back from CC, and while I was there I got this sick t-shirt (left). Oh, but the day before I saw my BFFL Libby again and she gave me this amazing pic she drew of Zelda (right). Anyway, my friend Jess and I had a lot of fun at camp. There's this HUGE hill there that was all coated in ice, and we were allowed to go tubing on it. Best ten seconds of your life.

Superbowl XLV (Part 2)

You watched the superbowl last night, right? You knew it was last night, right? (If you didn't, I have one word for you- wow). You know what the best part is? Wait a minute, you don't!? Fine, I'll give you a hint. It's not the amazing touchdown that someone made. You still don't know? (This is sad). Here's another hint. It's not the halftime show (although that was interesting). You still have no idea? Ok, ok I'll tell you. The commercials. Best one: Doritos- House Sitting. If you missed it, you can watch it by clicking its name. Soooooo funny.

LoZ: Wind Waker

Yeah yeah, I know tonight is the superbowl. But thats little compared to THIS.

So today, around 3:56 in the afternoon, I finished The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. (After what? 8 years?). I REALLY want to play it some more, but I let my friend borrow it and my GC. For a week. Actually, it's until he finishes it, but that will probably be only a week. Same difference.

I love this screen.....

Why do you torture me?

Now, you click here, or save yourself the pain and look at something else.

The first link (no pun intended) is to a picture some genius made of a LoZ 3DS bundle. It's (sadly) fake (note
the title of this post). The second link is to something I read the other day.

OMQ! I also just learned that Wind Waker got a 10/10 from GI. Epic!!!!

Awesome songs!

Hey, if you go alllllllllllllllllllll the way to the bottom-ish part of the page, you'll see a list that says, "Awesome Songs". I just have a few notes about it:

- When you click the link, it WON'T open a new page.
- If there's anything wrong with the links, e-mail me or write a comment.
Adios!

Theres an app for that.

If you've been reading my blog lately, you may have notice my "There's an app for that" statuses. And ALL of them were true. I'm reading Romeo and Juliet for school. It's hard. There's an app for that (cliffnotes somthing-or-other). I need a dictionary. There's an app for that (Dictionary.com). I need a walkthrough for Zelda (because I'm terrible at it; long story coming soon). Theres an app for that (Safari?). But you get the idea. I broke my ipod to computer cord. There's no app for that!!!!!

Club Penguin

So if youe play Club Penguin like me, you know about the expedition. If you're not a member, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. You'll be VERY dissapointed. On a somewhat related note, my brother said that he should start a rebellion because its on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and CP is seperating the non-members from the members. No comment.

The Red Pyramid

Okay, so recently I read The Red Pyramid. It has a lot to do with Egyptian myths and stuff. So today in my Art lesson I had to draw an object with Egyptian symbols. I looked some up on Google. I saw some that were for some god and whatnot. It was creepy because I actually understood what it all ment. I need to get out more...

P.S. Check out my poll!

Purple Alligator

Yesterday in  my science lesson I saw this picture. There are three possible explanations.

A- I'm an idiot and purple alligators  really do exist
B- The lighting is weird
C-It is a photoshopped image

You be the judge.

Kirby's Epic Yarn Rating

For Christmas my brother and I got Kirby's Epic Yarn. So like I did with Pokemon SoulSilver, I'm giving it a rating. Here goes nothing...

On the good side...
Graphics were amazing. Think LittleBigPlanet on the Wii.
Levels were VERY creative.
An example of a pad
Creating a pad using items you find in levels= awesome
Instead of dieing, you lose beads (the game's currency) when you run into enemies. This makes the game easy, even for me (!)
Many AMAZING power-ups
The tank power-up
On the bad side...
too short. My brother finished it in about 4 days.
a little too easy. Nintendo used too much of a good thing.

SCORE: 4.5/5

Sunday, January 02, 2011

Have I ever told the world how I play pokemon for 4 hours? Well, we have this game called Pokemon Master Trainer. Once me and my friends played it for a looooooooong time. Now when we ask each other what to do, someone always says, "lets play Pokemon for 4 hours". Today was one of those days. We started playing around 2:00pm, after getting back from CVS, and playex until 5:30pm-ish. We literaly played for 4 (and a half) hours. We have no lives.

How many kids does it take to open a pack of Extra gum? 3, 2 to open it and 1 to stand by laughing.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy new year to all you readers! 2010 had a bunch of significant things...not that I remember any. Oh well. I was at a party for a while, then at midnight me and my friends ran around the neighborhood making noise and yelling "happy new year" like a bunch of idiots. We had two people yell at us: one just yelled and chased us for a few feet (I'm told it was my neighbor)the other yelled happy new year back at us…remember when i did that question of the week? I have two questions for you that you can answer in the comments if you like.

1. What was your highlight of 2010?
2. How did you celebrate the new year?
