This is just absolutely adorable! I'm sorry that was kinda random but... This needs to be shared! Seriously, if you don't think pictures of a cat with a Link figurine aren't cute, then... You either don't like Zelda, or you don't like cats. Anyway, just please go look at this. It's adorable.
Link Ditches Epona for a Cat - Zelda Universe
Welcome to My World. Most of the stuff that happens here is pretty weird. Just a bunch of nonsense that comes out of the mind of a teenager with way too much time on her hands. So enjoy reading about video games, music, books, and other stuff that probably won't make any sense whatsoever.

Generic News and Thoughts That I Think You Should Read Even Though You're Supposed to be Working or Something
Longest title in the history of mankind. Score!
Aaaaand moving right along.
So I'm still trying to get used to the new Blogger interface... I tried to hang on to the old one as long as I could, but I guess this isn't as bad as I thought. Just... I dunno, different. But not like completely alien. It sorta has this Google Docs-ish feel to it, and I happen to use that thing a lot. But anyway, if this thing looks like freakishly formatted, that would be why.
And I'm gonna keep jumping from topic to topic because I can get away with it. I asked my friend the other day if she thinks I have ADD, and she says, "Without a doubt yes."
Next topic of discussion: Music! Yeah, so hopefully you've listened to "Call You Out" and liked it. If you did, I have good news for you! "New Horizons" (the entire album) is going to be realeased on Tuesday, October 30! EXCITED!!
And also, Thousand Foot Krutch finally released their remixes for "Light Up The Sky" and "Let The Sparks Fly"! You can download them here. And while I'm talking about TFK, I would so kill for a wristband that says "Be The Change". Note to self: write TFK an email.
Yes, I've been having an obsession with wristbands lately. I had an OCD moment the other day when I went to my friends' School of Rock show and bought a wristband there. And then I realized I could put wristbands on both of my hands. *slow, sarcastic clapping*.
So yes, there is more still! Click the jump to read it!
You know how tempting it is.
Just click it.

Figment Feature
GUESS WHAT!
Haha, yeah, one of my stories, "The Stupid Dress", made it onto the Figment's front page! No lie!!
Sorry, I'm being a little overreactive. But it's so cool! Anyway, if you'd like, you can read it on Figment, or I also have a link to a Google Doc if that's more your style.
Moving away from that, I also read something on GamesRadar today about video game charactes competing in the Olympics, so you can read that right here.
And that's all for now!

Spaaaaaaace!
Guess who's (sorta) actually going to space?
Like, real space.
Wheatley!
I dunno, sccording to GameInformer, who got it from the official Portal 2 blog, someone engraved a picture of Wheatley from Portal 2 on a panel that is headed for the International Space Station. Pretty crazy, huh?

Console to Closet
Okay, so I just thought about posting this now, but a few weeks ago there was an article on Zelda Universe about this website called Console to Closet. What it is is a website with outfits that someone has designed based off of various video games. For example, there's one for everyone's favorite antagonistic AI, GLaDOS, Assassin's Creed, the magical Princess Zelda, and even Amaterasu from the game Okami. So if this kind of thing interests you, it's really a great website to check out. There are so, so, so many different designs to look at, I can bet ten dollars there's something you'll like! So you can either click that link above, which will take you to the homepage, or you can go to the archive and see the entire list of outfits on the site! Have fun!

Portal "Movie"
So a short quick little post: I found this on my Yahoo! newsfeed and I thought I'd share it.
Basically, someone is working on an animated Portal short, and I thought that was just amazing (because it's portal!). So anyways, here's the link to the full article: Upcoming Portal Animated Film Has An Awesome Pixar Look

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Okay, well if you've been paying attention to anything I've said for the past 6 months, you know that The Legend of Zelda (LoZ): Skyward Sword was released yesterday. I got it. I got a CD. I got a gold colored Wii Remote. It's shiny. And sparkly. And all Zelda-y. I love it. All of it.
Well, currently I'm at the first boss of the game. Skyward Sword isn't exceptionally hard, but the controls take some getting used to. Once you get into it though, you'll be pressing buttons and swinging your sword like you've been doing it all your life.
Anyways, I'm planning on writing a tiny little pointless reveiw after I get deeper into the game. So far though, so good. Seriously. I find almost no flaws. Except for when I can't do a forward stab or a skyward strike. Other than that, everything is working fine. Even Fi (your sword's spirit-ish) isn't as annoying, and her tips are actually helpful.
Also, I mentioned that all copies of Skyward Sword come with a LoZ: 25th anniversary music CD. It's awesome. Although I'm not exactly a fan of that kind of music, if it's related to Zelda, and it's free, it's gonna be awesome.
Ballad of the Goddess (Skyward Sword)
Wind Waker Symphonic Movement (Wind Waker)
And if it means anything to anyone, I swear Fi is Zelda's version of GLaDOS. Without all of the sarcasm and murder, of course. But the way they talk is so alike. I'm not joking.
And Zelda herself reminds me of someone...

Happy Birthday GameCube!
Well, if the title wasn't a dead giveaway, today is the Nintendo GameCube's 10th birthday in America! YAY!!! Hm, well if you don't know what a GameCube is you're a) too young b) not caring c) too stupid to recognize it as the best home console in the world. Okay, that's a bit of a stretch, but still, I love my GameCube (herinafter GC) more than any other home console I've ever played, including the PS3. I suppose it means something when I say it was my first "real" home console (that old PSone doesn't count). I bought mine for $20 from a good friend. It came with one controller, a GameBoy Player, and a GameBoy Player disc. I was sold. Later that night my bro bought Pac-Man World 3 for it, and we thought that game was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Boy, were we wrong.
Another really good friend of mine lent us Super Smash Bros. Melee, which I still consider to be better thatn SSB Brawl. We borrowed Super Mario Sunshine and MarioKart: Double Dash!! (and eventually bought both games). And later, maybe just a year or two ago, I spent a whole day in the hot sun managing a yard sale. That afternoon, my dad took me to GameStop and I bought what would be my favorite game in the whole wide world: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Later I got Metroid Prime, Animal Crossing, LoZ: Collector's Edition, and many other games. If you're ever looking for some good Nintendo games, without wanting to pay the $200+ for a Wii, trust me, the GC will not let you down.
Happy Birthday GameCube!! <3

Random Pokemon Picture (and Zelda nonsense)
I found this while I was looking at random pictures on the internet in an attemt to find some new wallpaper. I love this pic, and I crack up every time I look at it.
PS. Just for clarification, the girl on the right is Green and the boy (yes he's a guy) on the left is Silver.
Also, you can expect me to be posting again later today because I'M PICKING UP SKYWARD SWORD TODAY!!!! (I think)
EDIT: I just called GameStop, and even though they told me when I pre-ordered the game that I could pick it up today, it would not be released until Sunday. Idiots.
Well, until then, I'll have to hold myself over with video clips and spoiler-free trailers. Speaking of, I just watched this video on Zelda Universe, and I thought it was pretty funny.
Zelda Williams- Worst pick-up lines (ZU)
Other than all of this, I'll try to keep you posted... if I don't die of suspense before next Sunday...

With less than two months to go before Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is realeased, news has not stopped coming. Yesterday, I saw some new trailers... click the links (no pun intended) to see them.

Swordplay Trailer
Haha, the romance trailer was cute. In an article on Zelda Universe, it said, "But, just when thing’s start getting romantic, she get’s swallowed by a whale. Too bad."
Stupid whale. You are SO going to die.

A Flood of Skyward Sword News
Well, it's a flood because ZeldaUniverse had a server outage over the past few days, and now that it's fixed, they've posted AT LEAST 8 videos and a ton of other stuff that I've reposted below.

- Weapon upgrade system
- GameInformer Scans (I'm not looking!)
- 100 minutes of cutscenes
- Boss challenge mode
- GoNintendo news [SPOILERS]

Skyward Sword Playing Time

Shigeru Miyamoto announced that the game would take about 50-100 hours to complete. Sound's about right to me, but taking into consideration that I'm terrible at video games, It could take me a year or two to complete. Nah, probably a few months at the most.
Also, during the conference, Nintendo showed a little show of different gameplay clips, including some epic boss battles. Nintendo said that once you've completed the game, you'll be able to replay all of those boss battle in a "boss rush" mode, kinda like in Ocarina of Time (hereinafter OoT) 3D.
There is also a new location revealed, Eldin Volcano, which I swear is Death Mountain from OoT. But really, who knows? You can watch that video here. GameInformer.com also said that they'll be posting the clip show video as soon as they can get it, so I'll keep an eye out.

GI: Share Your Favorite Zelda Memories
Again, something with GameInformer.com and Zelda. Go figure.
Today, however, it's something a little different. The post says, "Reader Disscussion: Share Your Favore Zelda Memories". Since it's Zelda's 25th anniversay (a few months back) the editors of GI have asked that the readers comment and write about their fovorite Zelda memories.
Mine? Oh boy, I have too many to count...
The first Zelda game I ever played was Spirit Tracks (bad place to start), but the first one I really, truly devoted some time to was Wind Waker. Also, it's the only one I've ever completed. My favorite Zelda memories... I can think of three right now.
1) Finally finishing Wind Waker after a year... I love the ending cutscene, fighting Ganon, just everything after you get into Ganon's Tower is epic.
2) Playing the Fire Temple in Ocarina of Time with my friend. Getting the megaton hammer, and getting collateral damage bats was memorable. But the best part about that: When we got to the boss (Volvagia) and he told me, "Ok, now this is just like Whack-a-Mole." I just about lost it there.
3) Again, when my friend was over. He showed me how to launch gossip stones into outer space. I was laughing so hard. You can watch a video about it here. (fast-fowrad to 2:00)
Well, that's all for now.

GI Cover
Okay, I know I just posted like an hour ago, but this is worth getting excited about. To me, at least.
GameInformer revealed their cover for October's issue, and guess what it is? Three tries...
(cue Jeopardy music)
Okay, well, I'm going to tell you anyway! It's The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword!!! Here's a picture if you want to see it too.

Epic Video Game music covers!
Reading my Yahoo! news feed and Something caught my eye: "Lake Hylia Cover on Guitar". In case you didn't know, Lake Hylia is a location in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. As it turns out, the game that this specific instance is from is Twilight Princess, so I didn't recognize it. Anyway, the article linked to this guy's (TheDelRe) YouTube channel, which had a lot more covers. Below are links, etc.

Nintendo Power Issue 268
The other day I bought a Nintendo Power magazine from Wal-Mart just because I could. The cover, as you can see, has the "modern" Sonic (the alternative cover has "classic" Sonic on it). On the inside, there's a 11-page feature all about Sonic the Hedgehog, along with a feature about the GameBoy Advance, LoZ: Link's Awakening. Plus, (this is my favorite part) the
4-page review on Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. It was FUN to read. Also, reading the Pulse (e-mails, etc.) section was fun. My favorite letter was:
"I know this is irrelevant because The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker hasn't been mentioned in a while, but I will belatedly defend the game's sailing sections. I thoroughly enjoyed traveling from island to island by boat. The experience heightened the sense of exploration, and braving my way through dark thunderstorms was awesome." -Littleredwolf
In my opinion, sailing was fun, for like the first half of the game. Then, right around the part where you get the Master Sword, it became annoying. Although the Ballad of Gales made it a bit easier, sailing around to find to those stupid Triforce shards was just plain boring. Maybe that's why I didn't finish the game for like, 2 months...

Magic Trick
For my next trick, I will make a scavenger hunt, Pokemon, Legos, Skillet, and Zelda all fit in the same post.
Well, my party was a blast! We had a scavenger hunt, and My team didn't win, but it was fun anyway. Click here to see pics from that. We had to take pics of the team doing certain things, like standing next to a McDonalds Drive-Thru menu. It was an interesting experience, and no one got arrested. So thats good...sorta...
On Bulbapedia, someone (Danielle Detering) made an article about how Pokemon and math go together. Read it here.
I've been drawing with chalk lately, and I drew Link, a Shellder, and a Mareep. You can see them if you click "More Nonsense"

This is Nonsense
Well, we're all moved in. thats good.
It has been a bit busy around here for obvious reasons, so its been a while since I posted.
For no reason whatsoever, I was looking at the trivia section of Bulbapedia's page on the first episode in the Pokemon: Best Wishes TV series. Whoever wrote it brought up a good point: "According to the narration at the beginning of the episode, Ash is still ten years old (despite the fact the anime has been airing for over thirteen years at this point)."
See, I'm not the only idiot out there who thinks about this stuff
Another thing was that Pikachu had "electrical issues" again (last time was when going from Kanto to Hoenn). However, I beleive it's just jet lag. What do you think?
