Blogging Because I Feel Like I Should

First of all, Happy Easter!
Okay, now that that's out of the way, I just felt like blogging because there's a lot of stuff I want to talk about, and just one of those things isn't enough for a whole post to itself. I'll probably jump from one thing to another without much explanation, so hopefully I won't lose you. I've got some stuff about Rise, Kristen May, and some other stuff that I'll think of as I write. So here goes nothing...

Album art for Rise.
If you read my last post, you heard me fangirl about Skillet's new album, Rise. If you missed that, here's what it said: Rise is Skillet's first concept album, it's being released June 25, and the first single from it, "Sick of It" is being released on iTunes April 9. If you want to know anything else, go read my post. :P Anyways, I have more news for you! The album art for Rise showed up on Facebook and Instagram recently! So there it is, on the right. I think it's pretty cool, and for some reason, I think of the album art for Comatose when I look at it. Does anyone else?
On the subject of Rise, Skillet also posted another teaser for "Sick of It," and personally, I think this one sounds better than the previous teaser. I can't wait to hear the whole thing on the ninth!
Oh, just thought of something else! So, click the jump to read about the new Percy Jackson movie and Kristen May singing "So I Thought."

(L to R): Tyson, Clarisse, Grover, Annabeth, and Percy.

Three years after the first movie, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, someone's decided to make a movie out of the second book, The Sea of Monsters. Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is going to be released in theaters August 16, and judging by the trailer, this one looks like it will be a lot better than the last one. For example, someone finally decided to read the book and made Annabeth's hair blond. I mean, she's wearing pink, but now I can stop complaining about her hair. The Oracle is in this movie, as is Luke (he did NOT die), Kronos (he kinda plays a big part on the book series, but for some reason no one even mentioned him in the movie), Thalia (at least, we hope...), Clarisse (also appeared in the first book, but not the movie), and Tyson. As of right now, the only big problem I'm noticing is [SPOILER ALERT] that Grover's already supposed to be on the island with the golden fleece, but oh well. I still have hope for this one.

Finally, I'll switch back to music and tell you about a video of Kristen May and Flyleaf performing "So I Thought" with Ryan White (Resident Hero), the guy who did the background vocals on the album version of the song. Honestly, I was a little nervous watching this video because "So I Thought" is one of my favorite Flyleaf songs of all time, and I was kinda afraid of hearing Kristen sing it. But as I watched the video it didn't seem so bad. Sure, it doesn't sound like it does when Lacey sang it, but it wasn't terrible like I was afraid it would be. Anyway, if you haven't heard the original song before, do that first, and then you can watch the live performance of Kristen May singing it with Ryan White. What do you think?

I think that's about all I have to say for now... Talk to you again soon!
(P.S. The "Pin It!" button is back. Not sure if anyone used it or missed it, but it's back now)
